Terms & Conditions |
I have tried to keep this as straight forward as possible to ensure that all aspects of your event go smoothly, including the booking! Remember - let’s keep it stress-free! Venue & Catering l It is your responsibility to book a venue (check out the HowdiDoodi Venue Directory) for your event and organise all aspects of the catering l I require approx. 45 minutes set-up time prior to the start time of your event and 30 minutes to clear up afterwards - please ensure you book your venue with enough set-up & set-down time; ignoring this will compromise your event Booking l Provisional booking is by initial mutual agreement of a suitable and available date and time, but this verbal initial mutual agreement does not constitute a firm or definite booking l A provisional booking will stay in my diary for up to two weeks after which time, if no Online Booking Form and deposit have been received, the date and time will become available for somebody else to book l Once we have provisionally agreed upon a date and time, you should submit an Online Booking Form immediately, along with your non-refundable deposit (see below) l Only upon receipt of your Online Booking Form & deposit does the provisional booking become a firm and definite booking and HowdiDoodi reserves the right to cancel any provisional booking anytime prior to receiving the completed Online Booking Form and deposit Payment l Payment must be received in two parts, and complete payment must have been received before the commencement of the event l Part 1 is a 50% non-refundable deposit payable at the time of completing the Online Booking Form and being sent with the Booking Form. Please do not send cash through the post; HowdiDoodi cannot be held responsible for cash lost in the post. Deposits are best paid by cheque or Online, or by cash only if in person (cheques payable to 'Howard Corrin') l Part 2 is the remaining balance to be paid five working days prior to the event if paying the balance by cheque, or anytime prior to the commencement of the event if paying the balance in cash or Online l HowdiDoodi will not be liable to run your event if complete payment has not been received prior to the date & time of commencement of your event Mileage Charge l Events held at venues in post code areas HG1, HG2 and HG5 will not incur a mileage surcharge. Events held at venues outside these post code areas will incur a mileage surcharge at 40p per mile unless they are included in the free-mileage venues list. This mileage charge will be added to your balance for your chosen Package and shown on your Confirmation & Final Invoice Details Confirmation l Upon receipt of a completed Booking Form and deposit payment HowdiDoodi will email you a 'Confirmation & Final Invoice' document which summarises all the details of your event for you to check over, and an Event Checklist. If you have not received this emailed document after a week of submitting your Booking Form & Deposit please contact HowdiDoodi l Please ENSURE YOU READ the 'Confirmation & Final Invoice' email document as it contains important information about your event - failing to read it could compromise your event l Your Event Checklist ASKS YOU TO CONTACT HowdiDoodi during the week running up to your event to confirm details; office hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday; please avoid contacting HowdiDoodi on Friday evenings and weekends l If you wish to request special songs, please do not leave these requests until the day before your event as it will be unlikely there will be time to comply with such requests! Cancellation l The 50% deposit is non-refundable upon cancellation l In the event of a cancellation being made less than 5 days in advance of the event, the fee must be paid in full Cheques: l Cheques should be made payable to 'Howard Corrin' l Balance payment cheques must be received at least five working days prior to the commencement date & time of the event. Cheques are not accepted as payment at events Malicious Property Damage l Natural wear & tear is to be expected in equipment used at a HowdiDoodi disco. However, it is a sad fact that in this day and age a very small minority of children & young people feel it is acceptable to deliberatley damage or break equipment. Please note that any deliberate damage to equipment will be charged for at the replacement price, to the person who booked the disco Verbal & Physical Abuse l HowdiDoodi will not tolerate being verbally or physically abused during any event l Verbal abuse means guests swearing at him, giving obscene hand gestures or insulting him using vulgar or obscene language l Physical abuse means threatening or violent behaviour, hitting or kicking, and the throwing of objects at him or at his equipment l HowdiDoodi reserves the right to immediately cancel & leave any event where verbal or physical abuse is directed at him and this will not constitute a breach of contract and no refund or compensation will be given to the person who booked the event Supervision l Please ensure adequate adult supervision at children's and teenager's discos as HowdiDoodi is not responsible for the behaviour, conduct or safety of guests l The hirer is responsible for any damage to the venue as per your venue hire agreement |
